FREE TOURIST VISA FOR CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, CANADA AND BRAZIL
The Embassy of Cabo Verde in Washington D.C informs that the Government of Cabo Verde has extended the date in which the exemption of tourism visas to American, Canadian and Brazilian citizens will enter into force. The new date will be February 24th, 2020.
If you travel to Cabo Verde for tourism you should do a pre-registration, at least five days before the arrival in Cabo Verde, at the online electronic platform EASE (www.ease.gov.cv), and pay the TSA (Airport Travel Taxes), as the system will exempt you from paying the visa during this transitional period.
The registration consists in the submission of passport details and other relevant information such as arrival and departure dates, flight number and place of accommodation, allowing country national authority to do the travelers security pre-checking.
