Cape Verde and the World Bank Cooperation in the Transportation Sector

Ambassador Fátima Veiga was at the World Bank Headquarters on Friday, July 19^th, to represent the Government of Cape Verde at the Signing ceremony of the loan agreement for the Cape Verde Transport Sector Reform Project.

The Transportation sector is one of the priority areas in the Government’s development agenda. This project will add to the almost 35 operations in the public and private sectors in which Cape Verde and the World Bank have partnered, making the multilateral institution one of the archipelago’s main partners for development.

Ms. Vera Songwe, Cape Verde’s World Bank Country Director, signed the agreement on behalf of that institution.
